Analysis & Energy Modelling

Powerfy™ analyses raw inputs, waste and outputs through energy modelling and conducts energy audits in accordance with AS/NZS 3598 for businesses as well as residential energy assessments and home energy ratings. Energy efficiency audits identify issues and provide a basis to compare theoretical performance with actual performance. In the case of significant capital upgrades we build investment grade energy models and simulations using the latest software to evaluate different options and scenarios, de-risking the process and saving significant head hours in design, commissioning and maintenance.

It begins with metering electrical, gas, water, compressed air and thermal data in our Profit Engine, then identifying and analysing what is used and how. In addition to energy data, we integrate other information such as air quality, occupancy, raw materials, steam, weather and production as well as API or SCADA data. We have particular expertise in thermal metering and hot water upgrades, including residential and industrial hot water heat pumps, solar thermal and thermal storage systems and are 1 of only 3 companies to be appointed to the Clean Energy Regulator technical advisory services panel.

Project Management & Development

Powerfy™ is a project developer and provides project identification, feasibility studies, business cases, specifications and project management services for commercial, industrial and residential facilities. Our projects are quantified by data and implemented by experienced engineers and qualified technicians.

We do not rely on guesstimates, rules of thumb or “she’ll be right” but do provide specialist finance and access to grants, rebates and certificates to maximise returns.

  • Project Financing

  • Project Management

  • Contractor Management

  • Renewable Energy e.g. solar PV third-party validation/peer review

  • Frameworks & Programs i.e. Green Star, Mandatory climate-related financial disclosures, B-Corp, Climate Active, Science Based Targets

Product Certification, Measurement & Verification

With our expertise in TRNSYS modelling we assist solar and heat pump water heater manufacturers to apply for product registration in incentive programs including:

  • SRES (Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme) for small-scale technology certificates (STCs)

  • VEU (Victorian Energy Upgrades) for Victorian energy efficiency certificates (VEECs‍)

  • NSW ESS (Energy Savings Scheme) for energy savings certificates (ESCs)

We support you every step of the way, from compiling technical information to writing reports and handling submissions to the Essential Services Commission (ESC) and NSW IPART.

As well as individual products, we use Measurement and Verification (M&V) to accurately and transparently report savings from energy efficiency actions. The IPMVP defines best practice and Powerfy™ are experts in completing compliant plans and reports, determining savings using statistical models of consumption, generation, demand and cost. Powerfy™ is an Accredited Person under the Victorian Energy Upgrades program for the Project Based Activities method at business and non-residential sites in VIC, which is technology and fuel agnostic.
